Gallina PoliCarb® 11-wall is the most structurally dense panel in the PoliCarb line, available in 25mm (1") and 32mm (1-1/4") gauges built from eleven layers with cross-braced internal geometry. That structure delivers a U-value of 0.23 (R-factor 4.35) at 0.696 lbs per square foot in 25mm, and 0.19 (R-factor 5.26) at 0.758 lbs per square foot in 32mm — insulating performance comparable to double-glazed units while remaining a single, lightweight, impact-resistant panel. The diagonal rib pattern also adds stiffness for longer unsupported spans. Manufactured in Italy, coextruded with UV protection against yellowing and surface degradation, and backed by a 10-year warranty.
Available in clear and opal, the 25mm transmits 45% clear (SHGC 0.52, shading coefficient 0.60) or 33% opal (SHGC 0.44, SC 0.50), and the 32mm transmits 44% clear (SHGC 0.51, SC 0.59) or 29% opal (SHGC 0.38, SC 0.44). The lower transmission and low solar heat gain make 11-wall a strong fit where controlling glare and cooling load matters as much as daylight: gymnasiums and natatoriums, industrial and warehouse roof glazing, atriums and skylights, transit and stadium structures, and conditioned building envelopes in hot or high-altitude climates. Note that 11-wall panels are not bendable and must be installed flat — specify a thinner PoliCarb configuration for curved or barrel-vault applications. Glaze with the Poli-Lok® aluminum system or compatible profiles, seal flute ends with the appropriate breathable and solid tapes, and allow for thermal expansion at fasteners.
