Gallina PoliCarb® 2-wall polycarbonate is a twinwall multiwall sheet built for daylighting applications that demand light transmission, thermal performance, and impact resistance in a lightweight panel. The twin-wall structure creates an insulating air space between two skins, delivering U-values from 0.52 to 0.68 and R-factors between 1.471 and 1.923 depending on thickness — meaningful energy savings compared with single-layer glazing. Every sheet carries co-extruded UV protection to resist yellowing and surface degradation through years of direct sun, and polycarbonate's exceptional impact strength makes it highly resistant to hail and impact damage where glass or acrylic would fail.
PoliCarb 2-wall is available in 4mm (5/32"), 4.5mm (3/16"), 6mm (1/4"), 8mm (5/16"), and 10mm (3/8") thicknesses in clear, bronze, and opal, with light transmission ranging from 80–85% for clear down to 38–48% — letting designers dial in daylight and solar gain to suit the space. Standard widths are 47.25", 48", 71.25", and 72", with custom widths available and lengths limited only by transportation. Typical applications include vertical glazing and windows, flat and curved roofing, skylights, canopies and walkways, greenhouses, patio and pool enclosures, and interior ceiling and partition systems. Follow Gallina's installation guidance on panel orientation, sealing tape, and profile systems — proper end sealing is what keeps the flutes clear and preserves both the appearance and thermal performance over the life of the installation.
