Gallina PoliCarb® Sheet, 3 Wall

Gallina PoliCarb® 3-wall polycarbonate adds a third layer to the multiwall structure, creating two insulating air chambers instead of one for meaningfully better thermal performance than twinwall at the same footprint. The range spans 8mm (U-value 0.580, R-factor 1.724), 10mm (U-value 0.520, R-factor 1.923), and 25mm (U-value 0.260, R-factor 3.846) — the 25mm delivering more than twice the insulating value of typical twinwall sheet, which makes it the choice for conditioned spaces and climates where heat loss through glazing drives operating cost. Every sheet carries co-extruded UV protection against yellowing and surface degradation, and polycarbonate's impact strength gives excellent resistance to hail and impact damage.

Available in clear, bronze, and opal, with light transmission of 81–82% for clear and 42% for bronze at 8mm and 10mm, and 57% for opal — the 25mm transmitting 72% clear and 35% in both bronze and opal. That spread lets designers balance daylight against solar gain and privacy. Typical applications include roofing and skylights, vertical glazing and windows, canopies and covered walkways, pool and patio enclosures, greenhouses, and interior ceiling and partition systems. One important fabrication note: the 25mm sheet is not bendable and must be installed flat — only the thinner gauges are suitable for curved and barrel-vault applications.
