Gallina PoliCarb® Sheet, 6 Wall

Gallina PoliCarb® 6-wall is a 16mm (5/8") multiwall polycarbonate panel whose six-layer structure delivers a U-value of 0.32 — an R-factor of roughly 3.1 — making it one of the highest-performing insulating configurations in the PoliCarb line at just 0.574 lbs per square foot. Manufactured in Italy and coextruded with UV protection, it resists yellowing and surface degradation through years of direct sun and carries a 10-year warranty. The panel is rated ASTM E84 Class A for flame spread, and polycarbonate's near-unbreakable impact strength provides excellent resistance to hail and impact loads that would shatter glass.

Available in clear at 60% visible light transmission (SHGC 0.62, shading coefficient 0.71) and opal at 40% (SHGC 0.45, shading coefficient 0.52), the 6-wall structure lets designers hold high daylight levels while cutting solar heat gain and eliminating glare and hot spots — the opal in particular delivers soft, evenly diffused light across large spans. Typical applications include roofing and skylights, vertical walls and window systems, canopies and covered walkways, pool and patio enclosures, greenhouses, and conditioned spaces where glazing heat loss drives operating cost. The panel cold-bends to a minimum radius of 110" for curved and barrel-vault installations. Install with the Poli-Lok® aluminum glazing system or compatible H and U profiles, seal the flute ends with the appropriate breathable and solid tapes, and allow for thermal expansion at fasteners.
