Gallina Velario® 613 Modular Panel, 3 Wall

Velario® 613 is a tongue-and-groove modular panel in 3-wall multiwall polycarbonate, 10mm (0.394") thick and 23.82" wide, that interlocks panel to panel so a glazed wall or roof is built from the panels themselves rather than from a framework of glazing bars. The 3-wall structure traps air in sealed channels, giving a U-factor of 0.475 at a panel weight of only 0.348 lb/ft². This system is supplied without UV protection and is intended for interior use only, and polycarbonate brings the impact strength that makes these systems practical where glass would be a hazard or a liability.

Light transmission runs Clear 76%, Opal 58%, so daylight and solar gain can be dialled in by colour rather than by adding shading. The panel is rigid and must not be curved. Panels are supplied in lengths up to 39 ft, and the system is completed with its own aluminium and polycarbonate profiles, connectors, gaskets and brackets. Typical uses are vertical glazing and curtain walling, stadium and industrial cladding, partitions, corridor and stairwell infill, and roof glazing. Optional treatments include IR, which reduces the interior solar heat gain coefficient by 20%, a UV matte finish on one or both faces, and the Caleido custom colour range.
