King KPC HDPE is King Plastic’s general-purpose industrial high-density polyethylene, the workhorse grade behind the branded sheets. Gauges to 1-1/2" are made on the K-Stran™ process for flatness and thickness consistency; heavier gauges come out of compression or extrusion moulding. It has a smooth gloss finish on both faces, good chemical resistance and a density of 0.955 g/cc, and it machines and fabricates easily. The natural grade is FDA and USDA approved material suitable for food containers and food equipment.
It is bought for wear strips and guides, brush blocks, machined parts, material handling systems, containment tanks, livestock containment and skating rink boards — work where the sheet is a functional component rather than a finished surface. The gauge range is the widest in the King line, 1/8" through 4" on the 48" x 96" sheet, with King Size Blocks and Massive Shapes available to 25" for machining stock. Note black runs 1/8" through 1" only; natural covers the full range. King MicroShield® and King FlameShield upgrades are available to order.
