King StarBoard® ST is the architectural grade, 25% stiffer than the original StarBoard and one of the most scratch-resistant sheets King makes. It has a matte gloss finish on both faces and a density of 0.963 g/cc. Like the rest of the line it is environmentally stabilised, will not rust, delaminate or rot in UV, humidity or water, and needs no painting or refinishing over its life. The extra stiffness is what lets it span and stay flat in cabinet doors, partitions and long counter runs where the standard grade would need more support.
It is the usual choice for indoor and outdoor cabinets, lockers, outdoor kitchens, concession stands, dugouts, healthcare case goods, kick plates, playground and pool-area fixtures, tabletops and counters. The twelve-colour range runs from Basil and Tuscan through to Slate Gray and White/White. King FlameShield is available as an upgrade for ASTM E-84 Class A and CAN/ULC-S102 compliance where the code calls for it. Stocked 1/4" through 1-1/2" on the 48" x 96" sheet.
