King StarBoard® XL Lightweight HDPE Sheet

King StarBoard® XL is the lightweight cellular grade, up to 30% lighter than the original StarBoard at a density of 0.77 g/cc. The weight comes out of the core rather than the surface, so it keeps a matte finish on both faces and the same environmental stability — it will not rust, delaminate or rot in UV, humidity or water. It is supplied on an extra-wide 60" x 96" sheet, which yields better on large panels than the standard 48" width.

The trade-off is the cut edge: the cellular core is visible when machined, so XL is specified where weight matters and a finished edge does not — cockpit covers, deck components and equipment mounts, electronic mounts, recess hatches and bait well covers, tackle centres, doorstops and thresholds, and ladder steps. Standard colours match the original King StarBoard®, so XL parts sit alongside standard-grade joinery without a colour break. Stocked 1/4" through 3/4".
