450FC30 is PEEK reinforced to 30% with a carbon fibre, graphite and PTFE package - published as ten percent of each - making it the branded member of the bearing-grade family. As an extruded stock shape it is the strongest of the three common bearing PEEKs: tensile strength 14,000 psi, flexural modulus 1,100,000 psi and hardness Rockwell M100 (R125), against 11,000 psi and M85 to M95 for the alternatives.
It is machined into bearings, bushings, seal faces, wear rings, back-up rings and compressor and valve components, including static dissipative work, since the carbon loading makes it conductive rather than insulating. The manufacturer publishes friction and PV only as ratios rather than absolute numbers - friction about 30% below unfilled PEEK and roughly twice the PV capability - so there is no limiting PV figure to quote and none is invented here. The usual bearing-grade cautions apply: lower elongation than unfilled PEEK, notch sensitivity, no electrical insulation, and no published food-contact or medical approval.
