PEEK Static Dissipative Plate

Polyetheretherketone

Static dissipative PEEK sheet in the 10^9 to 10^11 ohms per square decade, formulated non-sloughing for clean process work. 500F heat deflection at 264 psi. Resistivity is decade-specific - substituting across grades is a functional failure, and it absorbs nine times the water of unfilled PEEK.

  • Static dissipative PEEK sheet, for handling and test fixtures that must bleed charge away rather than hold it. Surface resistivity sits in the 10^9 to 10^11 ohms per square decade - the high-resistance end of the dissipative range - and the grade is formulated to be non-sloughing, so it does not shed particles into the process. Tensile strength is 14,000 psi on a 940,000 psi modulus, flexural strength 21,000 psi, compressive strength 26,000 psi at 10% strain and hardness Rockwell M105 (R123). Heat deflection temperature at 264 psi is 500F and continuous service 475F.

It is machined into test sockets, nests and contactors, wafer handling components and wet-process tool fixturing. Three cautions matter here. Resistivity is decade-specific, so substituting a 10^6 to 10^9 grade for this one is a functional failure, not a cosmetic change - specify the decade the application needs. Water absorption is 0.18% in 24 hours, nine times unfilled PEEK, and 1.65% at saturation, which is a real dimensional problem in wet tools. And elongation at break is low, so it is brittle. The dissipative additive is not disclosed by any maker, so none is named here.
