450G is the standard unfilled PEEK resin grade, and stock bought against it is a claim about the resin rather than a different material - it is unreinforced, semi-crystalline PEEK of standard flow, natural beige. Mechanically it is unfilled PEEK: roughly 14,200 psi tensile stress at yield on a 580,000 psi modulus, 23,900 psi flexural strength, Shore D 84.5, a 302F glass transition and a 649F melting point.
It matters as its own line because some aerospace and semiconductor approvals are written against the resin grade, and plate sold simply as unfilled PEEK may be built on a different manufacturer's resin - one maker states outright that it may use either. For thick sections the difference is not cosmetic: the alternative resins carry higher and more broadly distributed molecular weight and behave better in large rod and heavy plate. So if a drawing calls out 450G, order against this line; if it simply calls for unfilled PEEK, the standard natural line is the same material and usually the better buy.
