Polycarbonate Modular Panel, 6 Wall - 20mm, 23.62" Cover

20mm interlocking modular polycarbonate panel, 6 walls, covering 23.62" per panel. It carries a U-value of 1.6 W/m2K per EN ISO 10077-2.

This is a glazing system rather than a sheet. Each panel locks into the next along its length, so a run goes up without a separate H profile at every joint and without a continuous glazing bar - the joint is part of the panel. That makes long vertical runs and barrel roofs quick to glaze and keeps the sightlines clean.

At 0.635 lb per square foot the panel carries itself between widely spaced purlins.

Spans above three walls need engineered purlin spacing for the actual snow and wind load - ask and we will work it with you rather than guess from a table.

Polycarbonate moves about 0.065 mm per metre per degree C, which works out to roughly 1/8" of growth in every 4 feet of panel across a normal year. Every fixing hole is drilled 1/16" larger than the screw, the screws are set with neoprene or EPDM backed washers and left just snug, and the panel edge is never bedded in adhesive or putty. Dark panels need close to twice the allowance of clear, because they run hotter in the sun.
