High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is the tough, chemical-resistant workhorse of the plastics world — it won't rot, rust, splinter, or absorb moisture, it shrugs off most acids and solvents, and it takes abuse outdoors and in wash-down environments year after year. Colorado Plastic Products stocks HDPE sheet and rod from 1/16" through 4" thick in natural and a range of solid colors, including FDA-compliant grades for food processing, smooth and matte-finish sheet, marine-grade textured board, and color-core sheet for engraved signage. Fabricators, food plants, marine shops, and municipalities use it for cutting boards, tanks and liners, chute and hopper wear surfaces, playground components, dock hardware, outdoor furniture, and machined parts. It cuts, routes, and welds readily, though it won't accept solvent cements or paint without pretreatment.
